about

Mio Momono debuted for Marvelous Pro-Wrestling in February of 2016. Her career has since been repeatedly derailed by injuries, due to her persistent refusal to be cautious and complacent. It has been said that no one told Mio Momono pro-wrestling is fake.
The second DREAMSLUM release focuses on two distinct eras in Momono’s career. Side A’s sources are two pivotal performances from 2018’s Catch the Wave tournament, the first of which saw her defeat of tournament fave and current AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida through sheer pig-headedness and bottomless stamina. The second sees her ambition undone by Mika Iida, despite using the same approach that bested Shida, along with repeated attempts to trick Iida into losing by count-out. Side B uses a single source: the inter-promotional Team Marvelous vs Team Sendai elimination tag match from 2021’s GAEAism show. This is considered by many to be her greatest performance. Its power is plainly evident in the audio: through the cacophony of commentators and roaring crowd, Mio Momono's piercing shrieks and desperate cries cut.

On C42 clear with silver glitter cassettes, with an essay by Luke Healey (@flupkediflupke, Marshmallow Bomb, Profound Mystery). Limited edition of 22. Mastered at Hen’s Ear Canal.
